TGIF and You Can DIY: Pinwheels

Add colour to a dead wall (and consequently a space) by putting up a configuration of pinwheels.

All you need: Scrapbook paper in different colours, a pair of scissors, glue (Feviquik kind), popsicle sticks, buttons, sequins or other embellishments.

Get started by cutting up the paper. Divvy up a rectangular sheet into half for a big pinwheel; three pieces for a smaller one. Start folding into sharp sections, continuing till you reach the end. Glue the ends together. Reinforce the back (which has a tendency to curl up) by sticking across a popsicle stick. Decorate the front with a button or sequin. And you’re all done!

This is a particularly good idea for a children’s room.
