TGIF and You Can DIY: Shoe Clips

Who hasn’t got a favourite pair of earrings that’s got one piece broken? Use the good-for-nothing jewellery to reinvent a pair of simple flats or pumps.

What you need: Clip-on earrings, if you can get them; if not, rhinestones or old earrings/broaches; clips that can be pinned on to ballet shoes (tic-tac pins may work too); toothpick, strong glue (like Fewiquik)

What to do: Clean the surfaces that are meant to adhere – the earrings, stones, or broaches, and the clips. Stick on the earring/broach on a clip and let dry. Once completely dry, tack them on to your shoe. They aren’t heavy-duty but they’ll take a regular pair of flats from walking to partying in a jiffy.
