The Raj Saheb of Dhrangadhra Maharaja Sir Ghanshyamsinjhi Ajitsinhji Sahib Bahadur (1889 - 1942) Salute: 13 guns Print Number : 008 Maharaja Sir Ghanshyamsinjhi Ajitsinhji Sahib Bahadur, was the second and eldest surviving son of Sir Ajitsinhji Jaswantwinhji Sahib Bahadur. A ruler with prodigious energy, he built a maternity hospital, a girl's middle school, and a veterinary hospital. He also extended the railways, promoted the salt industry and established the heavy chemical industry. He was a Hon Major attached to the 3rd Cavalry. He received the Delhi Durbar gold medal (1911), Prince of Wales's medal (1922), Silver Jubilee medal (1935) and the Coronation medal (1937).
